I.  BUILDING DATA

The building erected in 1884 has suffered a series of transformations and interventions.

Some of them aimed at re-functionalizing the building, others at the conservation of its historic character.

When the project was started, the last intervention had happened a decade earlier and had brought some major transformations among which also the transformation of the geometry of the roof as a result of adding an attic.

The design theme on which the project was based on aimed at:

Hydro-insulation of the perimeter of the underground level + vertically and horizontally / rehabilitation of the main facade and the lateral facades / dismounting dormer windows and mounting skylights on the same plane with the roof / repairs of the roof cover. 

In order to guarantee an economic offer and an ever so good execution, a detailed pre-measurement was carried out with an accent on all decorative elements of the facades, on the protection measures of the same through sills and other tinsmithing works, as well as on the technology and pertaining measures of hydro-insulation on the vertical and horizontal of the basement masonry.

An important element was constituted by the technical assistance granted during the works on the basis of a quality assurance procedure discussed prior which had included all decision factors constantly, with a clear and efficient distribution of responsibilities.

II. ARCHITECT DATA

Vitamin Architects are a limited liability company which performs architecture and urban planning services.

It was founded in 2006 and has experience in general design, design of civil and industrial works, rehabilitation projects of historical buildings, elaboration of integrated urban planning works.

The company consists of 3 architects, 1 scenery architect, 2 students of the Faculty of Architecture of Timisoara.

The working team: Paul Buchert, Rudolf Gräf, Lavinia Popa, Andreea Pătroi, Cristina Novac, Raoul Chiricheş, Adelina Cioată, Cristina Pupşa.
