I. BUILDING DATA 

The location is in an airy residential area, near the town, far from urban weavings meant to impose volumetric and stylistic restraints.

The answer to this environment was a manifesto house with an introverted character that resides in the location of the void on the facades, the distance from the street and the opening towards the terrace and pool behind the property.

The entire volumetric concept is defined by two alveolar area united by a linear body that is outlining them.

In the amoeba there are the main functions: the daytime area and the office at the ground floor, and at the first floor there are four sleeping rooms.

The bar that crosses them fulfils the connection function: access, kitchen and passage way with wide terraces.

One of the amoebas descends to the underground floor, where there are a fitness hall, a sauna, storage room and the heating unit with a small light yard.

The main access in the house is located discreetly, on one of the long facades and is protected by a protruding canopy made of metal profiles and polycarbonate.

Although the plan flows fluidly, all composed spaces are perfectly functional, without inaccessible or difficult to use areas.

The contrast between curve and straight is accentuated by colour as well: the amoebas are white, while the linear volume is anthracite grey.

Total facade area: 350 squ.m.

II. ARCHITECT DATA

NBC-architect  and its leader architect  Bogdan Constantin Neagu was selected among the top 50 architecture offices of Romania by the Information Bank for Constructions, Architecture and Urban Planning – The University of Architecture and Urban Planning "Ion Mincu" and BusinessWeek .

They are a design office distinguished at multiple internal and international prestigious contests.

It is a young team which tries to be in line with the aesthetic and technologic tendencies in order to respond as competent as possible to the client's challenges.
