The facade design of Kyjov's community centre was created on the basis of the 2007 workshop - the topical and ideological architectonic study is only a part of a proposal dealing with a large-scale reconstruction of the community house, mainly in terms of the building's disposition and the area in front of the building.
The building is located at a very prominent spot at the Kyjov's main square and belongs to the town's conservation area.
The most visible, and thus, most important southern facade, oriented towards the square, was divided into three, smaller parts that respect the scale of the neighbouring buildings at the square, including the Renaissance Town Hall.
The architectonic study also deals with an addition of a second one-storey mass on the top of a one-storey restaurant block, and roof ending with a recessed parapet.
These ideas were not put into practice.
The colour palette was designed as follows: hues of the main beige-white and complementary earthy brick red which was in the end changed to blue-gray.
The design of the facade's horizontal division is the following: a fine bossage created by different grain size of the facade, and window sun breakers on the main southern glass surfaces.
