Nova Gorica is a town and a municipality in western Slovenia, on the border with Italy.

Nova Gorica is a new town, built according to the principles of modernist architecture after 1948, when the Paris Peace Treaty established a new border between Yugoslavia and Italy.

Modernistic approach is also incorporated in »Primary school Ledine« with matching together simple and clean lines of white plaster and brick red panels.
