Weißenfels, Melanchthonstraße 4
Architect: STOYKE + BAMBERG Architekten, Halle
Location: Weißenfels, Germany
Year: 2011
Applicator: Baufirma Pietschmann, Weißenfels
Investor: Ulrich & Heidemarie Stoyke
Category: 1+2 family residential dwelling

The residential building dating back to 1925, which had lay vacant since reunification, was purchased in 2005 by a married couple and converted from a house for two families to a single family home.

The house was redesigned to have low carbon emissions and is 30% below the EnEV 2008 level.

The original room structure was maintained and has been functionally adapted to suit modern living requirements.

The various, individually selected and developed details in terms of material, shape, colour and the interplay between them give the property a special touch.
